The GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) is the new general regulation on data protection defined by the European Union and in force since 25 May 2018 which protects the citizen’s right to the protection of his personal data by those in possession of it (companies, associations ..). It establishes the new rules for processing Personal Data within the European Community and regulating the export of Personal Data outside EU borders.

 

In the new GDPR / 18 Regulation, Personal Data is defined as “any information relating to an individual, connected to his private and professional life and public […] such as names, photos, email addresses, bank details, interventions on social network websites , medical information or computer IP addresses. “

The regulation obliges the data controller to comply with strict standards regarding compliance, security and data protection. A company that processes the personal data of others must make use of a Cloud service provider that is bound by the GDPR respecting the principles of:
